RUTOPIA
Rutopia is a lifestyle clothing brand born in Bali, founded by Balinese people, and built by a team deeply rooted in the island.
At its core, Rutopia is shaped by island culture. It is a way of life influenced by the ocean, community, craftsmanship, and the everyday experiences that come with living close to all three.
After discovering Rutopia in Bali, Grant Majewski brought the brand to the United States and led its expansion into the American market. In 2026, Rutopia opened its first U.S. flagship store in Surf City, North Carolina, creating a new home for the brand while staying true to its Balinese roots.
OUR STORY
The name Rutopia comes from “Route to Utopia.” It represents the journey toward your own ideal destination. That meaning reflects the story of our founders, three childhood friends whose shared passion for surfing brought them back together and inspired them to build something of their own.
Our logo is a minimalist sun formed by three lines and three colors. It represents one of the island’s most familiar rhythms: sunrise, midday, and sunset. The three lines also represent our three founders, each following a different path before coming together to shape Rutopia.
